The life of the Children´s Art Club started on 18th September 2000 on the initiative of our pastor Michal Zajden. The aim of the Clube was the fruitful use of freetime of children and young people.
At the beginning the children were offered free themes with demonstrating of some techniques. In the course of time the aims were gradually increased - by means of artistic performance to fix in the mind of children creative thinking, which they will need in various spheres of life. The history of mankind offers us to this fact many beautiful examples...
We started to study the form by means of drawings, to learn how to distinguish warm and cold colours, the right mixing of colours and touse this knowledge in composition. The children were acquainted with differend techniques: water colour, tempera, Indian ink, crayon, wax crayon, colour pencils, application with coloured paper. Through the artistic performens we try to learn and to show the way to understanding the world, to face up the reality and to study the historic period in which we live. We connect the graphic education with the religions knowledge. We cultivate and develop Christian, spiritual and cultural values, creation ,perceiving and aesthetic feeling towards our life, which is very useful in today´s owertechnical word.
We want and make an effort that our work may have an ecumenical character. For that reason is the Church Facility of Trnava Lutheran Church open on every Friday for people of various professions of faith and for all who see in artictic performance pleasure, growth and spiritual extension. Here can meet children, young people, adults with dufferent interests and goals with varied characters and tempers, who are often tired after the whole week. But when we begin to create together, in pleasant family atmosphere, we experience a little wonder every time. We inspire mutually and get on friendly terns from creative communication. In this way we educate ourselves, spiritually grow and hand over this wealth in the form of graphic works to other people.
